The omnibox
One field for everything: addresses, web searches, your notes, your open tabs and the pages you’ve been to. Start typing and pick a result.

Open the omnibox
| Shortcut | What it does |
|---|---|
| ⌘K | Opens the omnibox over whatever you’re looking at, web or notes. Or click the search button in the top bar. |
| ⌘T | Shows the start page with the omnibox in it. The tab only opens once you choose something; ⌘W or Esc goes back. |
| ⌘L | Edits the current tab’s address. Clicking the active tab does the same. |
What you’ll find
Before you type, the omnibox shows your latest tabs, Today and your recent notes. As you type, it offers:
- Addresses and web searches, with suggestions from your search engine.
- Notes and journal days, searched by their title and full text.
- Open tabs: choose one to switch to it.
- History: pages you’ve visited.
- Create Note, to start a note with what you typed as its title. ⇧⌘↩ picks it straight away.
Move through the results with ↑ ↓ and press Return, or click one.
Press ⌘↩, or ⌘-click a result, to open it in a new tab, even while you’re editing the current tab’s address.
Choose your search engine
Choose Glea ▸ Search Engine, or Search engine in Glea ▸ Settings ▸ Browser, and pick Google, DuckDuckGo, Kagi or Bing. Searches and suggestions go only to the engine you chose. Incognito windows get no suggestions, so nothing is sent while you type there.
To find a note by its tag, search #tag in All Notes. See Tags.
